No piece of direct equipment belongs on a floor or any other piece of electronic equipment for that matter. these things need breathing room and they do get hot when enclosed and will discolor a carpet. have heard of one catching anything on fire but i have seen melted access cards when enclosed in tight spaces with other equipment setting on top! carpets= no good!!!
