I have drilled into a crawl just as the lights in the room went out..."um did someone hit a switch?" then oops.
but the most damaging things I have heard about have been done by experienced techs, not newbies.
one instance, the tech went and drillrd from the outside in, and drilled into the back of a china cabinet.
and seen 2 fires started by the techs drilling into the main power lead inside a wall. all done by poeple with more then 5 years experience each.
I have even looked in a room at a closet wall, thinking it was a closet. only after I cut the hole in the wall, did the guy tell me it was a wet wall, I drilled into his shower pan, had to re do the tile in his bathroom. common sense, you are never too smart to use it.
