He'll never see it. I think the way they play the the game is this:
they advertise that they need all the techs in the world to with promises of tons of work, then they tell the unsuspecting tech who makes the trip he has to wait 2 weeks to get a check. When he doesn't get one at the end of the third week, he quits. They've just gotten 3 weeks worth of free work. Then they call the next name on the list and get 3 weeks of free work out of him.
