Well you must've been a good hook, I've never heard that kind of rant from a retired dawg, now you have two rants posted. I gotta agree with you though, I'm 34, I worked for T.C.I in Indiana back in the day. Not many guys look up at that pole and say "Thats were I gotta go" alot of guys would say "It can wait for a bucket". I just got hired in house 8 months ago with the phone company, so now I'm gettin paid (damn good) and insurance. We are a lost art. Real linemen are getting rare. I have already had the chance to train a couple new employees. I tell those guys get your ass up that pole. They say "let me go get the ladder". I'll tell them "you are someday going to be a lineman, but your not gonna waste my time by going to get a ladder, put these hooks on and get up that pole"!!! I know where you are coming from, it would be hard to leave completely. I wish you the best, Later, Red
