I have passed through Baker City a couple of times along I-84. Have even spent the night there. Please tell me which gas station this happened at. I try to gas up in Washington State on I-82 and make it to Idaho without gassing up in Oregon or the reverse when I am traveling the other way. Also beware of the scam where the attendant will ask you to leave your credit card with them while you gas up because the card reader at the pump doesn't work. While you are pumping gas they will run a bogus charge through on your card and then run the actual charge when you are done filling up. You get charged twice. They think most people won't notice it on their credit card bill.
Sounds like everyone has a scam to steal your money.
