This is a catch 22 in that eventhough you are the Defendant, the burden of proof is on you. So call your CC company and get proof of purchase at the Scuzzy Lube & Chop Shop faxed to you. Take it to Judge Deadhead and get the case dismissed. Don't forget that it was the gas station that had to swear out a complaint against you and will have one of their flunkies show up to testify against you. They will lie and therefore commit perjury.
Sue the gas station owner for Abuse of Process, Intentional Infliction Of Emotional Distress, Negligence, Liable, and Slander along with carrying on a criminal enterprise, therefore interfering with interstate commerce.
Since it is an admittedly common way for the Oregon State to rob folks, this could also be a class action. Look hard enough and you will find an Oregon attorney sleazy enough to go after the gas station owners and will roast the cops just for fun.
Just for laughs, sue the cops for False Arrest, Intentional Infliction Of Emotional Distress, and for wearing funny outfits.
Go get 'em.
