Gerry, it's a good idea but there are just too many of us working dead lines to be able to pull the whole thing together, as always, we are either going balls to the walls to get r done, or on the phone looking for the next project. Look at a typical company party, the linemen show up first, BEER ON ICE!, and then the splicers, by then the linemen are drunk enough to put up with them, and then the techs, (by then no one even notices them, just their wives,) and then, and this is the important part, the supervisors. Now we've got some one to punch out, please take this all into perspective before laying plans for a get together, 6 men in a motel room escalates from 2 stories a beer to F**K Y*U! after 10, now imagine 600, (6000! god what a fight!). If you clean it up by inviting only the politically correct, well you've got a room full of men that wouldn't know a lasher if they tripped over it and you haven't accomplished a thing.
As Gary said, we have skimmed a lot of the slim of the pond, all you really have to do is work hard and give the customer a product, stay away from the sales men and concentrate more on customer satisfaction, let's get it back. And this is just my opinion but I've always been taught that if you give a man his monies worth, the check don't bonce.
