NO baby powder will not make you sweat if anything it will absorb moisture like it does for baby's.
As for a way to stop it I'm like Duck It doesn't seem to bother me but there is a cream that our area gas company uses it closes pores and you just wet wipe the fibers off I don't know the name of it that's why I didn't post about it.
