They were called BLUE laws because they were origianaly writen on blue paper...but america we also a christian nation back then not ran by self-serving pagans. If you dont believe our nation was founded by christians then do a web search to see how many other songs/poems were writen by Frances Scott Key and most of them were christian hymns several of them are still popular in churchs today... just more history.
