I remember what was once called 'Blue Law' and the real reason things were closed on Sundays. I agree that it would be nice to get back to "some" sort of foundation, respectively, where one could appropriate time for religion. And to let it be your own.
When I was a kid in school, I used to sing the American Anthem with hand over heart Monday thru Friday, Saturdays were for old school cartoons and the Fam. would all go to church on Sundays.
'Wife of a Cable guy' is very right, in many ways. Without a family now on Sundays I dont go to church as much as I should, but find my peace with the man upstairs by spending time with a flyrod in hand on a river by myself. I Thank him for the beauty given. OK, I am not traditional as my folks used to be, but I have the right means.
In the cable/sat world Sunday is just a day when most customers are home and one of the most worked days of the week. Damn Shame.
Well said mam.
