Re: Open letter from a counselor to Cindy Sheehan

An American Hero...???  C'mon...Stop it..!

That article is abolutely correct.... She has completely
cheapened her son's memory.  What makes her so
different from all the hundreds of thousands of other
mother's out there who've lost a son in the last 230+
years...???  Ya didn't hear poor Mrs. Sullivan on the
President's doorstep making a mockery of her sons'
service to their country during WWII.   And that lady
suffered a loss so great, that I'm not sure I can come
up with the words to do her justice.....

"Why should our children give their lives so these crazy people
can create a religious government in line with the Iranians.
All she wants is an answer. So do a lot of us."

Because they're Americans and their Country called on them.
If you can't or don't want to understand that, then I'm afraid
you don't know what it really means to be an American....
Or so your comments make it seem.....

I wouldn't normally give a lady a hard time over a comment
on the Bar, but in this case, I really felt it needed saying.....

Later,

"He had that rare weird electricity about him. That extremely wild and heavy presence that you only see in a person who has abandoned all hope of ever behaving "normally". --- Hunter S Thompson - Fear And Loathing - 1972
