You can't forget the customer lives in the house. If they say they don't want that stuff on their phone system what next?
Also, splitters are even cheaper. If the phone thing were really important DTV would provide a .15 splitter.
This is a scam to avoid paying for installation services.
Now that a major customer base is up and running DTV neither needs or wants all the installers that have been working. The HSP system is what it is on purpose. Look at all the posts about Ironwood and Mastec. The SBCA certification system; similar idea.
Time to diversify.
