Re: Rumors

From what I've seen, the MSO will pay for the job when it is done as agreed upon. They may not pay or at least not right away if the prime and subs agreed upon doing A,B,C and D but in the end only A,B, and C were accomplished. What happened to D? Was it the Prime's fault in not communicating the work detail to the sub or The sub not communicating it to its subs? Where did the breakdown occur? Subs beware. The job probably has a written contract between the system and the Prime, what does it say? It is up to the Prime to be on top of this with his subs. That brings up another point. Some primes are more professional than others. And some primes have the capital to pay their subs before they get paid and some don't. The key is communication all the way down the line. The further the line goes the more chance of something getting ommitted. This can lead to a very bad situation that can hold up pay, cause pay to be re-negotiated, or cause someone to have to go back and fix it. Going back doesn't pay any extra however. Lets take your trapping project for example. That's a lot of poles to go back to if something were not right. Maybe the F'connectors were supposed to be changed but they weren't. This is just an example and I think it can be seen how the situation can turn real bad real fast if the exact description of work to be performed is not communicated to all. Professionalism = Quality = Paycheck.
