I want to find out your thoughts about the manager's compensation. I'll put my 2 cents in about the tech and MSO, but want to address the manager.
I think cablepro should have given a range rather than saying the 10s, 20s, etc. $12K is minimum wage and any installer who can pull their weight will certainly surpass this number. That's $250 a week. I would venture to say a good tech should be getting at least $750 a week.
And yes, many MSOs want the techs to do things for free and some payouts are a joke. In fact, they often make requirements without considering how much it really costs. But that is a discussion for another time.
I want to know about the manager. What percent of profit should they be getting for their operation? Or, is it just a flat salary? Seems like this is unlikely.
Managers in the $70s and $80s are not unheard of. Certainly there are some making less. Anybody, making more than $70K must be getting a cut of the profits. What should be that number?
