BPL sends its data service over unshielded wires and causes all sorts of interference between 5 and 80 MHz. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would ever try this. As soon as the BPL service begins interfering with local broadcast TV, and not to mention two-way radios and air and marine navigation beacons, it will be shut down.
