I would contact a local guy somehow and find out who got the contract and who is working there. Did this guys partner that offered the work to you like you? was he lower management possition trying to get some backing if his middle management boss failed..... keep diging but keep it low profile. if they do call you , you could make more money than originally discussed. +++ to your advantage..think about it..
