First of all OSHA came into being by law in 1971 not 1970, so you blew that "fact" right off the bat. Your claim that Jake's numbers are wrong because it's not "per 100,000" is humorous. Did you miss 3rd grade when they taught how to divide numbers?
So every Good American Worker should just trust his company's Honest CEO knowing the Company will always do things in his best interest because that's the Free Market Way. He should listen to the Good Boss who says he doesn't need any special (i.e. costly) protection and if he causes trouble about it can go work at WalMart, then 20 years down the road when his hearing is gone, his lungs at 20%, his body full of cancer... and the company he worked for long since bankrupt... he can blame it all on himself for not taking that $8.50/hr. job with no benefits at WalMart instead.
