I was adding up my work for tomorrow (1 four box, 1 three box and 1 four box w/ tivo) and for me now it totals $380 and will probably take 9-10 hours with about 2 hours of driving. A long day but in my opinion well paid.
I starting figuring what I would get paid at our HSP's proposed new $13.10/hr rate, each four box is allowed 5 hours and the 3 box gets 4 plus 2.5 hours driving for a grand total of 16.5 hours with a saving of 15 maybe in gas.
I figured that this is only about a 25% cut in pay and at first I was scared that maybe I was over reacting to the new trucks and lowered pay............. but
consider this under the new pay plan I would never get over 8 hours per day, which means I would not do as much work but would be limited to $104/day which is back to a 70% overall pay cut.
for me I am not willing to take a pay cut EVEN IF i do get a cut in workload and a truck.
Hope this makes some sense to someone besides me??
