Help with sub non-payment

Ok guys, I need some help with a sub i worked for for Mastec. It has now been over 90 says since I last saw a check from this company, and I'm still owed 3more checks along with the other 10 or so techs that worked for him at the same time. All in total, it probably comes close to $20k total for all of us, $3k for me appr. I;m in Michigan and he's in Texas, what are my options for going after him short of driving all the way to Texas to file in small claims.
