With that statement are we to assume that you neglected to make good on offers made to said families based on quick decisions made by others?
Your remarks tend to make me think you may have fallen victim or prey to a lot of chaos that took place during those events. A word of caution to anyone responding to these types of occurances is to go to them with the idea of assisting those in need and do it with a reliable contractor if monetary gain is a prerequisite.
