As far as getting your machine up there safely ... use your best judgment. If you're using a corning terminal we found you can put a couple wraps of tape around each side of the lid to hold it open ...makes a nice little table. of course tie off the machine to the strand.

The best advice I could give you though is to run , run as fast and as far as you can until the prices go up. If the MSO's want us to expose our equipment to these kind of hazards then we should be compensated accordingly or they should supply us with their splicing machines.
Seems to me that if people work for these low wages the MSO's will continue to pay low wages. But if everyone refuses to work then what are they to do when they start missing deadlines? There is no way they can complete these jobs in house.
I realize everyone needs to work, myself included ,but do I need to travel a thousand miles away from home to work for peanuts?
