I have done quite a bit of aerial no slack splicing, Telephone companies think this is a good idea, we had platforms made that attached to our ladders as well as a strand mount to besure it was secured, we mounted hooks to our Splicers travel cases and brought the case up to the platform, the case sare the best way to protect the Splicer we just had two hooks so we could hang it off the ladder or strand.
I it a pain in the a## to splice fiber this way but it can be done and done productvly if you are setup right.
