VZ is gearing up for FTTH in Richmond and Norfolk. If you want a shot at fiber splicing, this may be it. Granted, it is in-house, but there are good as well as bad to that position. VZ guys are not trained to be the top in the splicing field, but they do pretty good on what they have. Hope this helps if things get too bad. Good Luck, Old Dawg!
