Labor laws are becoming increasingly more strict as are the federal laws that are binding to the employer.

If these fellows are in fact legitimate, and have all the papers: "not dupes" as is the most current deception. As where several persons use the same Social Security, Drivers License, etc... it is your ass on the line as far as the feds are concerned.

You as an employer cannot claim ignorance to the labor board. You will be held accountable if you knowingly…. Or unknowingly hire illegal immigrants.

If you hire them as subs, then don’t try to beat the system there either. It would be a shame to see you “Loose-it-all”, because you tried to be a “Nice guy”.

As an employer, Y O U are expected to be up on all the laws and regulations… N O T the poor guy who might see you as a “patsy”.
