Re: Fish tapes

I hardly ever use a fish tape with coax. The fiber glass ones (good ones, not the cheap ones) are really only useful for insulated walls or conduit runs(better off with glow rods for insulated walls). For empty walls, I make one trip to the attic, drop 10 feet of cable in the wall and find it with the progressive, cut my hole and 9 times out of ten I pull it out with my finger. I also carry box eliminators on me, if you cut the hole to the box eliminator (depends on the size of your hands) you can reach in and grab what you need to. Redrockers post with the chain works well too.
