Re: Dish installs question

MULTI SWITCH NOT A GROUNDBLOCK?

I just do Direct and have read numerous instructions to avoid using a groundblock if using a multiswitch. The idea is just more fittings to fail and unnecessary line loss at each..

I have been clamping 10ga to the ground bond, ruinning it through the real small 10 ga lug on the switch with an additional inch or so and wire nutting the ground 14 ga from the dish--all is bonded. Right?

One of my favorite deals is to use a CATV stamped metal ground block. Remove the nuts and discard the barrel. Then push the "antenna" port on the multiswitch into the hole on the fitting, reusing the nut & the original CATV ground wire. Attach ther two sat lines. OK?

Neat? Safe? Code? OK to continue?
