Well actually dish satlite is alot diff from dtv it s sits on the horizion cacthing two brids instead of dtv one. dish also now offers single line tech. With a dish pro plus lnb you can run two dual tuner receviers which gives you indepent viewing on 4 tv's plus dish offers a DVR /Dual tuner ,HD/DVR ,and HD tuners .The HD tuners are great coming with a built in digital tuner with an off-air ant. you can pick up up to and over 40 channles of digital and analog locals.Dish also leases the equiment which means it MUST be install to dish network code but if something does mess up dish will fix it ,with dtv they own their equiment so the installer can do it to how the home owner wants ,just the home owner is taking a risk cause if they have a problem they will pay high dollar to get itback up and running not saying dish isnt but it depends on whos doing the service calls and if there doing it they way it shoudl be done .And one nice thing is dish is starting to sell hd tv's they have a very nice thin LCD wall mount 46 inch tv and a rear projetion 53 inch hd tv the rear projection is a great vaule under $900.00 . The dual tuners may sound complex but there not you have two ways to install one Way 1 - run two rg-6 lines to satlite in and run a tv2 cable to other viewing room from recever or you can use the striaght pulls outside and use a combination of dieplexors and separators whcih keeps installers from haiving to drill a largerwhole for the extra cabel or from having to do wall fishing (cas we all know how fun those are ) but basicly they are the same just the compaines offer differnt equiment .i hope in some way the can anwser some questions but if not im sorry i like to talk ty
