road king I agree, its not the industry, its the a--holes who run things, I liked doing cable, just not the companies that are out there, so now I drive a truck, without even having a GED. and in my state, I don't need a cdl to drive anything under 26,000 pounds, I do expidited freight, am out 2-3 days at a time, and average 400 plus a trip. could make more, but don't want to leave my animals for more than that. you can make 70k or more a year with just a cargo van and the right company. I am going to a big truck show at the end of the month to get more contacts and to see the new equipment, as well as look into a cdl school. but I still do low voltage stuff on the side and still have all my equipment for cable just in case...
