The actual issue is that both Brinks and ADT security systems are claiming upgrades to their equipment in the home must be done to be compatible with VoIP. ADT even told one sub that there will be a $9.00 monthly increase for monitoring service.
As a rep for my company, which is an installation contractor, I am just trying to find the truth.
The MSO claims the security co.'s are wrong however, I've seen firsthand that alarm systems show a fault even when all of our wiring is done correctly.
