Here is onr I got from a retired building engineer from a govt agency so secret he only used the initials: F.B.I.

His comment----a small loop in the POWER cord, just a simple knot thing that is not pulled tight will reverse the power surge heading to the equipment. He said they had many problems with electrical guys hooking up stuff backwards but lost no computers etc. after doing the loop. The wire would BURN to the loop but the equipment would restart with a new POWER CORD.

Ever run 4 RG6 from a 3lnb multisat dish across a wall to a ground rod and back again?
