The NCTI and SCTE have set up an agreement. NCTI will supply the basic instructiion and background materials for the SCTE tests. It makes getting an SCTE cert even more easier. Most major MSO;s give education class kickbacks to employees who take and pass with a certain gpa course reelated to furthering their professional development. Some contaractors encourge their employees to take courses.
For the small or indepentent contraactor, giving money from the profit margin over to an employee for passing a course is a tough thing to do. The results may not be seen in their work immediately.
Some MSO's have offered training to contractors on a limited basis. Just to cover one subject or product intro duction.
