Re: Is It A Pattern??

I had heard back in november that cox LV would be cutting there cost by 30% starting this year. Im not sure if it ended up being 30 or 20 percent. There are a lot of problems with pay cuts, yes the tech that busted hid butt gets a cut and is asked to the same amount of work for less. That sucks no matter how you cut it and we have all seen it to many times. The other problem is the house or sub you are working for is also taking a hit. The subs in LV are not making a big margin 10-20% with a 30% cut your labor cost go up so high your working with a negative margin, breaking even or at best 10%. Then you have to mix in employee morale. Techs get a pay cut they express there frustration in there quality of work. Cox in LV does charge back there subs for failed qc's and the subs have to run there own trouble calls for 30 days after install at there own cost, cox does not get billed. The sub has to hire somebody or have a sup run the tc's as a cost of doing buisness. The bigger your house you have the more free labor you have to give, that includes having your own dispatchers that cox doesnt pay for. So when the tech makes less the house suffers just a much. I would bet that at least 4 of the houses there will pull out because they arent making a proffit. It takes money to make money.
