Re: fiber??

Good post Fiber Guy I made the jump last year from splicin coax to splicing fiber drops on a FTTH job and realized very quickly that the company I was working for didnt have a clue. they were a catv installation contractor trying to do fiber by training installers to splice fiber . I wish I had a picture of some of their trays they looked like rats nests lol... I had no formal training of splicing fiber (other than here is a cleaver here is your splicer) and in a few weeks I was the best they had and by that i mean i figured out its best to route all your fibers the same way and in order of color...anyway work slowed down after bout four months and now Im back to splicing coax after having learned some valuable skills and made a little money
