Re: brace and bit

p.s. a brace and bit in the hands of a skilled dawg is just as fast as the gas powered drill. We carry the brace and bit up the pole on the belt so when we safety off we can start popping the hole. No pulling the drill up by the hand line, pulling on the starter cord (then remembering we forgot to turn the gas on), positioning bit and drilling. After popping hole we put our brace and bit back into our belt and frame. We don't have to worry about the drill falling to the ground if we lay it across the safety while we frame or we don't have to lower the brace and bit back down after popping hole. And the energy expended with brace and bit is no more than with drill by the time you gasheads get done doing all he extra work.
