Anyone working '60-70 hours' a week in this industry while making just a grand is either working for the wrong company or is so inexperienced they should be grateful for the check and not hostile.
There is still plenty of money to be made. Learn your oats, son. If in the end it doesn't pay off call it a learning experience.
