Re: Any body ever thought of a career change?

Your not alone my friend, It seems that most of all the old school people that I know have reached the same conclusion. We all have dreams of the industry recyling like it always has in the past, unfortionitly most of the big upgrades and rebuilds are over and the little bit of work that is left is usally screwed up by all the cut throats that bid on the work. just look at the folks that come to the bar, back in the wet cement days most of the people here were splicers, sweep techs and construction contractors, now it looks like the majority of folks are installers, satellite installers and inhouse techs. All the big primes have been replaced with inexpieranced people that you have never heard of, turning the game into a big crap shoot, with horror stories of people not getting paid for work that they have preformed. We are all on the same sinking ship and its about time to jump. I wish the best of luck to all.
