Thats half the reason...qoute "I saw two contractors try to underbid each other." When will everyone stop that and either work for what you are worth or politley decline without insulting anyone. It is better for everyone, including the client that we do not do work projects we cant afford to do. When we get jobs that are tight there is no room for error. We all know we have to make room for that. Contractors panic to get it done, and hopefully make a little, then the little you were gonna make runs out, then you cant serve the client the way we all want to. That is really sad. I hate to say no, but, sometimes I have too to save what little dignity we all have left. Also, this allows me to keep the work quality higher . It works out OK though because there is a whole world of opportuniy everywhere for us to use our skillls. You would be suprised whats out there.
