Help!!!

Here it is... (another satellite horror tale). A company I did work for 2 1/2 weeks ago decided that they were not going to do anymore work in orlando. Still oweing me money they sent no checks, would not answer calls etc. Now one of their "big guys" flys down here from New Jersey and says that if we don't turn over his remaining equipment he is going to press charges saying we stole the equipment. I said I would be happy to turn over the equipment in exchange for the 2 weeks pay he owes... of course he says "no" and that they will "mail our checks on thursday". Has anyone run into this problem before??? what did you do???
