I have a similar issue - the MOXI HD DVR doesn't automatically adjust the aspect ratio for non-HD programming. I am using component video output cables and 1040i setting on a 4:3 HD-compatible TV. On my old Motorola HD decoder the image ratio automatically adjusted to the correct appearance. More than a little annoying.
Also, is it possible to transfer files from this DVR to a computer; and if so, how?
