Re: Splicing in the Sleet and Rain?????

I have pulled my share of cable and spliced more locations than I care too in the rain. As you say, once you are committed it is just as fast to go thru with the new.

However, most contracts I have been privy to have all had a provision in them concerning raindays. The deadline extension is one-for-one. One rain day equals one day extension. Even beancounters are not stupid enough to put their reps, and the company rep, on the line by believing they can control weather. And running water/moisture shorts is something no tech and/or splicer wants to be doing when trying to bring the plant back up. Especially if it is during, say, March madness, world series, superbowl, etc. These are the times Murphy's law prevails.

And, yes, I am 'old school', and, no, I really can't afford to sit for many consecutive days because I might get wet.

Just my thoughts. Peace to all.
