Bush did nothing about terrorism before 9/11. His big initiative was (and still is) a costly missile defense system that would do nothing but line the pockets of defense contractors and escalate arms proliferation around the world. Bush was even against a Department of Homeland Security. Until he was for it.
What if we didn't invade Iraq? You really don't have a clue, do you. Aside from the fact (and yes, it's a fact) that Iraq HAD NO CHEMICAL WEAPONS, anyone with a basic knowledge of the process can make their own sarin nerve agent in any kitchen right here in the USA using rather easily obtained raw materials.
Sure, had we not gone to war with Iraq, Saddam Hussein might still be there like he was for the 10 years prior, albeit under closer scrutiny after 9/11. But then again, Osama probably wouldn't be on TV looking healthy and tanned taunting us about the 3000 of our people that he killed either.
