Just the other day a neighbor reminded me of something that hadnt been heard in a while. His quote was, "Govt. used to be 'For the people, by the people.' Now its,'For the people by the people that control congress!' (Senators, Governors, all the way down to your local level.) People as a whole community should partake more actively in governmental concerns in order to keep the people put there on a tighter leash. That way they wont have as much time to figure out how to spend the budget on things that'll benefit themselves!"
His opening line was intriging enough to kick in the right thinking and it was a good reminder of how out of hand things have become on different levels of Govt.
