The scope of repairing leakage correctly; This involves zeroing in on the leak with a leakage detector and then making whatever repair is necessary to stop the leak. signal2 layed out some of the causes. It can mean anything from digging up a piece of bad feeder and splicing out the damage to going into an attick after a bad or loose Fconnector. Sometimes the customers tv set is the leakage source or a push on VCR jumper. Be ready for anything because just about anywhere in the plant or along the drop is a potential leak. Sometimes from multiple sources at one location. Most leaks are drop related and most of those are Fonnector related. I never worked it on a contract basis before. To answer the fair hourly rate part of your question. That becomes a mathematical equation. Figure what you want, or need to make per hour (your profit) and add in all of your overhead. Don't forget anything. Gas, insurance, vehicle costs, housing etc. and you should be able to extrapolate an hourly amount which is fair as you will be able to justify whatever it is. Just my 2 cents.
