It is a great thought. but I don't think a "sit down" by contractors will ever work only because there will always be some hack out there willing to do the work now matter what the price and the MSO's know that. Why do you think there is no "bid" process anymore? The MSO just gives out the price they are willing to pay knowing "somebody, anybody" WILL do the work. If company A doesn't like the prices maybe company B or company C will do the work, If not we know lowly company D is always willing to do it.
