You may have TI (terrestial interference) problems, possibly due to military AWACS radar
I am not a headend tech, but work for
Charter and we had to order these filters to eliminate the
problem. It seems that since 9/11 the military are keeping a closer
watch on aircraft. Our system is in northeast Tennessee.
the problem will show up as loss of signal (picture) about
once a second, the best I remember. I saw the problem last
year but we no longer have the problem. Looking at the RF
from the dishes with an analyzer should show up the
interfering pulses, if this is your problem.
