Every company in every city in Florida that I've worked for has REQUIRED grounding to the house power for as long as I can remember with no additional rod driven. Telephone and satellite are the same.
Even more critical, any installation that includes a modem MUST be rebuilt to the power meter on the house if it is not there already.
Dunno where yer working but if ya come to Florida, you'll ground to power....
