The OTA signal is usually fine if the antenna is plugged directly into the television-however the antenna must plug into an adapter through the HDTV system, thus allowing the picture to format to HD when the program is simulcast in that manner. But through the receiver it is just like any other digital signal-you get it or dont.
I am having trouble deciphering the differences between the two outputs-analog and digital. I hope that someone can help me break this down and explain the apparent different strengths of the output from the towers.
The antenna given for each customer is a Winegard "Sensar". This antenna is up to par with the folks over at Voom. Some of the diplexers given to us originally passed power on both legs as to preamp the antenna. This was looked at under a magnifying glass by myself and our staff-and of course we tried to make home runs from the antenna a standard-but still with the same result. This brings me back to output tower and the questionability of thier strengths.
