Re: Interference on TV

if it is verified that the problem exists only on this particular subscribers line...and no other subscribers are on the same tap...and is old plant...a possibility exists that the tap itself...faceplate, housing...is bad or has water damage...a loose connector...but generally the problem would be found downline as well...you say no other complaints...which leaves the possibility...of a defective splitter and or ground block...you changed out the entire run...correct??? hardware too??? Best bet to isolate and pin-point the problem was already mentioned...a known working test television set...when connected to the tap with 100' of RG6...if problem persists...it is a line problem...no problem...the cause is somewhere between the ground block and the back of the tv...I have never seen a modem cause a problem like this...but that does not mean it couldn't happen...About hum bars...there are 2 types...60Hz and 120 Hz...60 Hz you see 1 bar rolling up the screen at a time...120 Hz...2 bars roling at the same time...that is a system problem...hope this helps...(usa)
