You are right SD,
There always will be someone doing it for less.
To the best of my knowledge the major MSO's, WILL NOT sign a contract, with a contractor if it does not contain some type of AT WILL clause.
You are also right, we do not have to sign the contract, they also do not have to hire us. It's a catch 22 thing going on.
The clause in our contract, is basically an AT WILL, AND WITHOUT REASON type thing.
What it comes down to, is if you do not like the contract, you can take a hike, thats how they look at it. There will always be someone else, if you know what I mean.
