The techs where trained and paid to train unlike other contractors. Granted not much but they were taught a viable trade. The problem was they were paid to do a job and they knew the spec's that they had to follow. They chose to take short cuts and not do the job correctly. This was the problem more in Orlando than Melbourne. The last pay cut was as such - 2 levels of pay, one level 36% the other 38% accross the board. So thats 3.60 and 3.80 a terminal. The client will not pay for a terminal if you install an new A/O, Activate an A/O, or install a primary drop, reconnect service. They do pay for HD boxes anytime and the tech rate is 7.20, 7.60. Melbourne was not closed for QC's it was a policitcial move made by the client.
